Large-scale events have a habit of growing beyond the original plan.
Alongside the furniture you’re hiring from Hire It, your team may be purchasing furniture, creating bespoke pieces, building props or producing assets specifically for the event.
And somewhere between production and installation, all of it needs somewhere to go.
HI. Storage gives qualifying Hire It clients access to temporary project space at our warehouse in the period immediately before and, where required, after an event.
Not long-term warehousing. Not a self-storage facility.
Space created around your event, when you need it.
Before the event
If your agency has purchased or produced additional pieces for an upcoming event, we can temporarily hold them alongside your Hire It project ahead of installation.
It gives your production team breathing room during the busiest stage of a project and creates one operational base for the assets we’re helping you deliver.
Depending on the project, HI. Storage can include:
• Temporary pre-event storage
• Goods-in for your agency or client-owned assets
• Inventory organisation
• Furniture assembly
• Flat-pack construction
• Preparation and finishing
• Packing and load preparation
• Integration into the event logistics plan
Space and dates are agreed in advance and linked to a confirmed Hire It event.
HI. Procurement
Need to purchase something specifically for the event?
Where the perfect piece sits outside the Hire It collection, we can manage the purchase on your behalf.
You choose what the project needs. We can take care of purchasing, order administration, receiving and holding it ahead of the event.
Once it arrives, we can also assemble and prepare it for deployment where required.
Procurement is quoted separately according to the value and complexity of the project.
HI. Assembly
Bought it. Now someone has to build it.
Purchased furniture doesn’t always arrive event-ready.
Our warehouse team can assemble and prepare furniture and other agreed event assets before installation, removing unnecessary build time from the venue.
From 50 flat-packed chairs to tables, shelving or larger furniture orders, we’ll agree the labour requirement before work begins.
Assembly and preparation are charged separately.
When it leaves us, it should be ready to work.
After the event
Sometimes finding space before the event is only half the problem.
Where agreed in advance, your purchased or produced assets can return to HI. Storage following breakdown for a short, defined period.
That gives your team time to decide what happens next without having to solve it at midnight on event breakdown.
Assets can then:
• Be collected by your team or client
• Move to another destination
• Transfer to your long-term storage solution
• Be prepared for resale
• Be coordinated for charitable donation
• Be recycled or responsibly disposed of
Occasionally, we may also consider selected furniture for the Hire It collection where the design, quantity and commercial potential are right for us.
Post-event storage and any handling, resale, donation or disposal services are charged separately.
Every project arrives with an exit plan.
Who is HI. Storage for?
HI. Storage is an additional service for agencies, planners, producers and clients placing a qualifying furniture hire order with Hire It.
It is not available as standalone commercial warehousing.
Availability is based on warehouse capacity, project size and agreed dates.
Pricing reflects:

• Length of stay
• Handling requirements
• Assembly and preparation
• Procurement, where required
• Post-event requirements
